Delete my data

If you have chatted with an assistant powered by Hey Support, you can ask for the personal data linked to your email address to be erased.

How this works

  1. We check the address is yours

We email you a single-use link. Nothing happens until you click it, so nobody can request deletion of someone else’s data.

  2. We tell the businesses holding your data

Hey Support runs chat assistants on behalf of other companies. Your conversations belong to the business whose website you used — they are the data controller, and we are their processor.

  3. They erase your records

Each business gets a one-click control to permanently delete your conversations, messages, lead details and bookings. Under GDPR they have one month to respond.

  4. We confirm in writing

Once everyone has acted, we email you a record of exactly what was removed and when.

What we keep

Some records are kept because the law requires it — billing records, for example, are held for seven years. Aggregate counts that cannot identify you, such as how many conversations a chatbot handled in a month, are also retained. Deletions reach our backups within fourteen days.

Full detail is in our Privacy Policy. If you would rather write to a person, email [email protected] — we respond within thirty days.

Use the address you gave the chat assistant.

We email you first to confirm you control this address. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
